River Arts is excited to partner with the Recovery Center to provide this intro to hand-building class at Jenna’s House! Participants will join instructor Jude Prashaw for six weeks in a supportive and nurturing space to try new techniques in hand-building. Learn how to create functional and sculptural pieces through coil building, pinch-building, and slab construction. All completed work will be fired off-site at River Arts and students will take home finished pieces 2-3 weeks after the last class.

North Central Vermont Recovery Center is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing an upbeat, welcoming, safe, and substance-free environment for individuals and families on their paths to lasting recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.

Jude (she/her) believes in “Art that Nurtures the Soul and Honours the Journey.” She has a background in healing arts, and enjoys teaching people “no-fail” approach to handbuilding pottery. Jude asks the questions “How do we journey within our world? What helps us stay afloat? Where do we find mercy? When did we become so serious?”
