Ready for some fun? In this workshop, you'll explore the humorous side of art by using found objects to create imaginative pieces. Discover the whimsical world of Hanoch Piven, an artist known for crafting inspiring and meaningful faces from everyday items. This class is perfect for people of all levels, offering a fun and accessible way to express your creativity. Bring along your sense of humor and prepare to enjoy a session filled with laughter! All necessary supplies will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring small items to incorporate into their work.
For over 25 years, Jen has felt privileged to be an art educator, guiding students of all ages on their creative journeys. Recently, she stepped out of the traditional school classroom to explore new avenues to support others on their path to well-being.
She is a certified Life and Health Coach who integrates creative practices into her coaching. She understands the arts play an integral role in fostering holistic wellness and knows the creative process is where the magic happens. As an art educator, artist, and coach, Jen believes in shaping experiences where art becomes a bridge to authenticity, and the process takes center stage. Working alongside fellow artists and students brings Jen joy and inspires her. In her free time, she can be found playing in Vermont's landscape, biking, skiing, and swimming.

With a perfect mix of guidance and freedom, you'll create a piece that's uniquely yours, using personal symbols. I'll guide you through drawing your composition and mixing acrylic paints to achieve the perfect colors for your artwork. Sip your favorite drink, connect with others, and let your creativity flow. It's about having fun and making something truly personal!

Each Sip N’ Slurry class is a fantastic night of clay exploration, featuring a different ceramic instructor! Even if you’ve attended this class before, each who will teach their favorite techniques for hand-building a mug. This Valentine's Day, immortalize your favorite pet in watercolor!
Please bring a photo of your pet to work from. You will start by drawing, then painting, a rendition of your photo. (Feel free to start your sketch at home, on watercolor paper, to allow more in-class time for painting.) Instructor Caroline McKinney will give a demonstration and help you turn your photo into an original work of art. River Arts will have watercolor paper and student-grade paints on hand. Feel free to bring your own materials or work with ours.
