Join artist Porter Pacella for this 6 week course exploring different ways in how to create with wood as a medium through a series of small projects. Participants will utilize hand skills by carving a spoon, practice our decorative abilities by woodburning and lastly complete a small coat rack building project. By the end of this course, you will have a nice little collection of wooden items to adorn your home!
About the Artist
After receiving her BFA with a concentration in ceramics, Porter Pacella realized that the job hunt was hard and not very welcoming due to the start of the pandemic. She decided to get into a trade and discovered the world of finewoodworking. The Vermont Woodworking School (VWS) showed her how to love wood as a medium, and she's excited to explore ways to join wood and clay into future works.
