Do you like getting messy and love delicious food? Learn how to cook everyday meals while also exploring clay. How does food and dishware inform the way we connect? By the end of the week, students will have created several functional dishes and completed a cookbook of scrumptious eats! Camps run from 9 am-3 pm. This camp will include lunch and healthy snacks.

Cooking Instructor: Heidi Bielenberg
Heidi Bielenberg (she/her) started her pottery journey in college, and fell in love with clay. In 2018 using her grandfather’s wheel and a donated kiln, Heidi helped establish the River Arts Clay Studio. Heidi now lives in Randolph, VT where she has her home studio and experiments with local clay bodies. Heidi also has a deep connection to the culinary arts, having grown up down the road from her grandfather’s farm. She is excited to share her love for cooking with students this summer
Clay Instructor: Rachel Lemay
Rachel Lemay (she/her) is an art and dance teacher based in Johnson, VT. Rachel received a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Dance Education from NVU-Johnson in 2019, studying both art and dance as well as how to teach to students of all levels and abilities. A passion of Rachel’s is to reach every student in her classroom and make sure that all have access to personal creative expression and the arts. Most recently, Rachel was a Long Term Substitute Art Teacher at Hyde Park Elementary School, teaching throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Rachel enjoys being outside, being active, and of course, making art!
