This amazing class is a great opportunity to work with Chelsey to make a blanket of your own! Students will be working with swatches from Vermont flannel and any other fun scraps that they would like to incorporate. They will learn skills on sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to make a true piece of art to keep them warm this winter!
My name is Chelsey Grace & I am the free spirit create-tress behind Garment Goddess. Nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, reviving vintage garments and textiles, one stitch at a time. It started in the summer of 2020 hand sewing vintage fabric onto all sorts of denim, with a focus on vintage jeans. After that summer Garment Goddess evolved into creating garments instead of simply just repairing and reviving them. From corsets, dresses and coats, to one of a kind patchwork & embroidery - I’ve been creating unique, intentionally made garments that I hope you’ll cherish for a lifetime & beyond. When I'm not sewing, you can find me out in the woods, down by the river, curled up with a good book, listening to music, gardening or painting till the sun sets. I love flora, fauna and fungi, and I love, love - making people smile, cooking a good meal, spending time with my family & friends. Of course, I love Vermont and all the beauty it has to offer, especially the sweetness of Summer.
