Each Paint & Sip class is a fantastic night of fun and creativity, featuring a different local painting instructor! Even if you've attended this class before, every class is unique since teachers share their own personal techniques. This evening, the lovely local artist, Yvette “Evie” Mason, will be guiding students on an exploration in tracing foliage and expressing the fall through vivid watercolor.
Evie will share techniques such as mixing, blending, lifting, blotting, painting background and shadows and drying. She will review brushes, paper and paint sets. After practicing techniques as a group, participants will choose natural objects to trace or draw and paint. All necessary supplies will be provided, including matting, card stock and frames for finished products.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Evie Mason is a self-taught water color artist from Mud City in Morristown, VT. She has taught beginner watercolor classes at the Champlain Senior Center in Burlington and at Singing Wood farm in Morrisville. She is a regular vendor at the Morrisville and Craftsbury Farmers Markets where she sells original greeting cards, bookmarks, and gift tags.
She has had two shows at the Morristown municipal offices. Evie's art can be found at Rock Art gallery and in the gift shop at River arts. Evie's art is nature-inspired.
