  • 74 Pleasant Street Morrisville, Vermont United States (map)

FRIDAY FEB. 3
5:30PM - 8:00PM
Ages 16+
$40, 60+ Reduced Tuition Available

Join artist, teacher, and restorative artist Courtney Jurcheck for an evening of supported creative expression, meditation, and relaxation. Courtney's practice is both meditative and movement based with circle time dedicated to guided meditative visualization through kirtan, simple mantras using call and response accompanied by the rich sound of the harmonium (Indian floor organ). Participants will relax with a guided meditation followed by a contemplative art project, tea, and discussion. No experience necessary! All materials provided. This class will focus on exploring creative blocks and flow inspired by the ocean in both color and form.

Courtney began her yoga journey in college during finals when she took a free class in her dorm and really did not like it. At all. But something in her 20 something brain told her "maybe you don't like it because it is a practice you need". So she kept at it, and in 2007 she got her teacher training through Rocky Mountain College of Yoga and Ayurveda, and began a 10 year teaching career in her hometown of Denver, Co. Throughout the years she studied Kirtan (call and response yogic chanting), and many forms of dance and group fitness. Courtney rounds out her life as a professional performer, owner of The Day-Of wedding and event planning company, and van lifer who traveled the country and Portugal with her longtime partner John and their 2 boys, working on farms and communities until they found Northern Vermont and decided to stick around for a while.
