Instructor: Kate Ruddle (she/her) is a conceptual fabric sculptor living near Montpelier, Vermont. She taught fabric sculpture at the San Francisco Art Institute for seven years. Her work uses architectural elements, fabric, and video to create objects and environments. Her art works often draws from multilayered historical sources and explores socially formative norms that are almost invisible. Her interest in architecture has led her to spend three winters in an RV in Vermont while building and photographing a DIY house build with her husband. Her work has been exhibited in the midwest, on the east and west coast, and in Iceland.
