Each Sip N’ Slurry class is a fantastic night of clay exploration, featuring a different ceramic instructor! Even if you’ve attended this class before, each who will teach their favorite techniques for hand-building a mug. Come as a beginner to learn the basics or join with experience for a new perspective on hand-building. Cal Spinelli graduated from University of Vermont in 2015 with a degree in Communications. That was the same year she took her first ceramics class and immediately fell in love with clay. Her interest evolved from tile making and handbuilding to wheel throwing, which is where she currently focuses the majority of her time. She now has her own home studio on a local farm in Wolcott, creating functional tableware along with hand carved wood products made by her partner. She is thrilled to be involved in the local pottery community and share her passion for art and design with the River Arts team!
