Ready to learn crochet in a fun, relaxed, and beginner-friendly environment? Join us for this two-part workshop designed especially for absolute beginners! Whether you've never held a hook before or need a refresher, this hands-on series will guide you step-by-step through the foundational skills you need to start creating beautiful handmade pieces.

✨ Part 1: Crochet Foundations

In this first session, you'll learn the essential building blocks of crochet. We’ll start with how to properly hold your crochet hook and yarn, making sure you feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning.

You’ll learn:

  • How to hold your crochet hook and control your yarn

  • How to create a Slip Stitch

  • How to make a Chain (the foundation of most crochet projects!)

  • What creative projects can be made using chains

  • How to make a Single Crochet stitch

By the end of Part 1, you’ll understand the core stitches that form the basis of countless crochet patterns.

✨ Part 2: Building Your First Project

Now that you know the basics, it’s time to turn your stitches into something practical and adorable!

In this session, you’ll build on your skills and learn:

  • How to create rows of Single Crochet

  • How to properly turn your work at the end of each row

  • How to make a beginner-friendly Mug Rug using Single Crochet or Chain stitches

  • How to neatly finish your project with simple “tail weaving” using your crochet hook

Mug rugs are small, quick projects that are perfect for beginners — and you’ll leave class with a handmade piece you can proudly use or gift!
