Ever wanted to try your hand at throwing pottery on the wheel? Join potter Anthony Martin to learn the essentials of wheel throwing in this 6-week course! This class is perfect for students who are new to wheel throwing or have little experience. Students will learn the whole pottery process - from throwing to trimming to glazing - to create some amazing pieces.
The pottery world introduced itself to me while studying business at the California University of Pennsylvania. My major of study took an immediate change of direction when I found a small ceramics studio in the heart of the campus and produced my first cup on the wheel. Understanding the ceramic process became my passion, igniting my work progression. Learning from masters of the trade gave me insight and guidance for becoming a studio potter.
