“Vermont summer evenings are always magical, whether they’re sunny or stormy. It’s the shades of green, the skies, the soft light, and the fact it is not winter!
Add on a big white tent, a shimmering pond, lush gardens and flowers, and you have Viva in the garden!
This is our personal heaven, and to share it with people who support, and cherish, River Arts, was quite wonderful. People were mingling and chatting, wandering through the gardens, taking in the silent auction, and listening to the beautiful voices, and music, of Andrew, Tom and Crystal.
And all this topped off with an incredible cheese table from Jasper Hill, delicious food from Susanna, and a fun and lively auction.

We’re so excited to announce a return of our outdoor fundraising event, Viva! In the Garden. Last summer, longtime friends and supporters of River Arts Jayne and Jamie Allister opened their home and garden to River Arts. Although the Allister’s generous offer to host the event was originally a solution to help River Arts welcome people together in a covid friendly place, the event became so much more than just a covid pivot. The beautiful weather and delicious blooms from the garden was a perfect backdrop for a lively event.
We hope you will save the date and join us for Viva! in the Garden this year on July 22nd. This event will be rain or shine- either out in the garden like last year or inside the Allister’s beautiful barn should the weather be less sunny.
