About Jude:

I Tried To Contain Myself But I Escaped: my life, my art - exploring possibilities through clay, paper-clay, metal, paint and words. My art (and writing) reflects my ongoing conversation with poetry, stories, dreams, tragedy, loss, laughter and humor. Masks, boats, sculptures and paintings become icon-like responses to questions that I have asked for a long time:

How do we journey within our world?

What helps us stay afloat?

Where do we find mercy?

When did we become so serious?

The urge to create is like the urge to breathe; vital to my life.
