Lamoille Neighbors iPhone Photography Group Exhibit
On Display at the Morristown Post Office
October 1st - November 29ty, 2021
River Arts is pleased to announce a new group exhibition now on display at the Morristown Post Office. The photographs in this show represent the culmination of our efforts over the past year to master the iPhone as a camera. We are all members of Lamoille Neighbors, which, beginning in September 2020, sponsored a series of Zoom classes with Nan Carle Beauregard which the seven of us took.
Nan is an extremely accomplished photographer who uses her iPhone Pro 11 as her signature camera. She has been a fabulous teacher, continually challenging us to grow in our technique and our creativity. We have studied composition, perspective, portrait and landscape techniques, and editing, always trying to remember what it is we want to say with our photos. We could not have asked for a better teacher and guide in this process, and we are immensely grateful for her patience, her ability to mentor and her wonderful sense of humor.
Artists Included in this Exhibition:
Wiffy Brooks
Lisa Dimondstein
Ellen Gibs
Marilyn May
Mary Miller
Sue Moore
Olea Smith-Kaland
We have had wonderful support in putting this show together. We owe great thanks to Ward Rice for his sage advice and willingness to take us through the printing and mounting process, to Perry Heller for answering our questions about converting our digital shots to photographs and the quirks of the iPhone as a camera, to River Arts for letting us use this gallery, and to Lamoille Neighbors for making this all possible.
