This special mural camp will be led by Cheyenne Marcus who is embarking on a "50 in 50" State Mural Project by making a mural in all 50 states. Cheyenne has chosen Morristown as her Vermont destination and will be teaching our mural camp this summer to help facilitate this project! Campers will learn what it takes to create a mural from conception to completion. Cheyenne will work collaboratively with campers to decide on design elements, color, and form to make this mural a celebrated addition to the beautification of Morristown.

Cheyenne Renee is a Virginia-based artist who has spent the last 10 years challenging herself in business and her creative work. She spent her teenage years working with watercolor and acrylic paints, inspired mostly by nature and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.

She began selling her work at craft shows and art fairs at the age of 14, and her love for small business was ignited. She created her first website and social media pages, acquired her first business license, and learned the basics of sales & customer service.

She fell in love with large-scale painting within the walls of her first brick & mortar. It’s there that she discovered the HEART that exists, uniquely, inside of small-town-small- business. A seed was planted and two years later.... that seed started to sprout.

In 2021 she created the 50 in 50 Project as a way to get back to full-time art & adventure. She wanted to continue painting and she wanted to do it in a big way for the communities that are usually overlooked by travelers. 50 murals across 50 small towns before the end of 2025 is the goal.

She couldn’t be more excited about Morrisville being the Vermont location & this opportunity to work with River Arts in the process!
