Partnerships

River Arts partners with fellow nonprofits to expand the reach of our programs and collaborate on new programs tailored to their specific needs. This enables us to share resources and serve new populations, multiplying our impact.


River Arts and Lamoille Art & Justice Project, with a mission to deepen racial awareness and understanding in our communities, partner to bring Listening Outside the Lines - Oral History Project to life in 2021. Stay tuned for audio oral histories, exhibitions of painting, poetry, photography, music, theater, and dance. Artists of the Global Majority are invited to help create these pieces with the storytellers.

Grass Roots Art and Community Effort (G.R.A.C.E) is focused on empowering individuals through transformative art experiences, which lead to creative growth and self-discovery. River Arts and G.R.A.C.E have partnered to share art and spark joy through an exploration of outsider art. Learn more about this partnership.

River Arts and Lamoille Family Center partner to bring weekly free Open Gym Playgroup for young families to the community. Lamoille Family Center is dedicated to encouraging, educating, and celebrating families through a host of services operating for over 43 years in the Lamoille Valley.

Healthy Lamoille Valley is a coalition of individuals and community organizations working collaboratively to reduce youth substance misuse and encourage youth to make substance-free healthy life choices. HLV strives to build and encourage a diverse and all-inclusive community of youth to be active advocates for a substance-free lifestyle. River Arts partners with Healthy Lamoille Valley to provide programing in safe spaces for youth to express themselves creatively. Special thank you to Healthy Lamoille Valley 3-4-50 for supporting the addition of a bikerack in front of River Arts!

North Central Vermont Recovery Center is a safe substance-free environment for individuals and families on their paths to lasting recovery located in Morrisville, Vermont. Together, River Arts and NCVRC partner to provide a free monthly off-site hand-building pottery class.

River Arts and Lamoille Community House partnered to provide weekly pottery classes to residents of the warming shelter in Hyde Park who are negotiating homelessness.

Out & About is an adult day care center located in Morrisville, giving caregivers respite by providing a center with social activities, meals, and supervision. River Arts brings the Elder Blossom Song Project into the center, a music and sing-along series.

SafeArt, located in Chelsea Vermont, is an organization of trauma-informed practitioners who engage creative expression, mindfulness, movement, social action, and connection to the natural world. We promote community wellness, healing and social change in Central Vermont, the Upper Valley and beyond. River Arts is currently partnering with SafeArt to provide online clay classes.

Lamoille Neighbors is a local nonprofit community organization committed to changing the culture of aging. Their members find purpose and wellness through both giving and receiving volunteer service, life-long learning, and social gatherings, staying closely connected to their communities. Lamoille Neighbors host events at River Arts and our organizations work together to provide art opportunities for aging community members.

Mountain River School’s mission is to inspire children’s lifelong passion for learning and cultivate healthy, compassionate, environmentally-conscious individuals who follow their dreams and contribute with conviction to the world. Inline with the school's focus on being respectful toward nature, River Arts and Mountain River School collaborate by integrating nature themes into an art and music pre-school program.

Kinder Arts

 

River Arts brings art enrichment into local preschool classrooms through the Kinder Arts program. Participating preschools include: Apple Tree, Creative Connections, Lamoille South Preschool, Puffer Childcare, Wee Explorers, and monthly at River Arts.
