Our Tuesday afterschool class will embark on a journey of creative exploration, where students will learn to sketch and paint a magnificent mosaic collage of the natural wildlife that inhabits Vermont. With the guidance of our instructor, Sophia, they will get a chance to immerse themselves in the natural world and bring to life their favorite wildlife in a beautiful collage. Together, as a group, they will work towards creating a giant mosaic collage that will be a testament to the beauty of Vermont and it will be displayed for all to see in our community to admire.

My name is Sophia Clark. I’m 20 years old, and have lived in Hyde Park, Vermont my whole life. I grew up on a regenerative organic farm and went to a Waldorf school for the majority of my adolescence. These two things have set the foundation of how I go about my life now. I feel most at home when I’m in nature, walking barefoot in the forest, gardening, making art from the heart, exploring the purpose and use of different herbs and spices, while intuitively cooking with ingredients sourced from sustainable farms and farmers around Vermont. I love being creative in any way shape or form! My philosophy is, everyone is an artist. You do not need to know every special technique or method, just trust in yourself and lead with the heart and I promise you, you will create a work of art.
