Asian Culture Camp

July 27-31

9am-1pm

Ages 6-11 - $95
Second session possible if sign ups allow : 1-5pm

Explore the Far East while in Northern Vermont at the River Arts Center!

Learn about Thai Spirit Houses, Water Throwing Festivals and the Chinese Calendar. Tie Chinese knots, do calligraphy, experience a tea ceremony, learn stories and myths from Asia. We’ll celebrate the Beijing Olympics and begin an exploration of Tai Chi outdoors.

We’ll make different Asian snacks and drinks… but please bring a bag lunch to eat.

Skate the Arts Camp

August 3-7

9am-4pm

Ages 6-15 - $185

Join us at the Johnson Skate Park for Skate the Arts!

Skate the Arts provides a week of skateboarding with coaching at the park and a unique introduction to “street art”, graphic design, deck design and mural painting. Students work to decorate their own skate deck (provided) and decorate the park itself. A creative, friendly environment mixing art and athletics. Free lunch is provided at noon.

Summer Art Club

camp11 Every Tuesday & Thursday, June 23-August 20

10am-4pm. Extended hours are possible- call for details.

Ages 5-12

$30/day, $45 per week, $270 for the whole summer (discounts available for families)

Kids will join up with the staff and kids from Green Mountain Kids- a licensed after school care program in Morrisville. Activities will include art projects, visits from guest artists, mini field trips to the playground, Oxbow Park, and creemee stand, gymnastics, games, movies, and more!

This program offers flexible arts-based summer child care for families and a fun day for the kids! No minimum or maximum number of days required-come for one day, one week, or the whole summer.

Drama Camp

Join Suzanne Mackay, Bonnie Kolber, & Keefe Healy for a week or improv games, mask making, music, movement, and puppetry at the River Arts Center! Please bring a lunch.
