Listening Outside the Line at the Vermont Studio Center

After over a year of planning and collaborating, Listening Outside The Lines, the oral history portion of the Lamoille Art & Justice Project is almost ready to open!

The first stop of the traveling installation opened Friday, November 19th in the Red Mill Gallery at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson. Due to COVID, the gallery is only available by appointment only. To make an appointment, email galleries@vermontstudiocenter.org.

Please feel free to share this information with your friends and family and promote the show as much as you'd like! We've attached an image that you can send along for folks to learn more.

The installation will open at River Arts in Morrisville on January 17th, 2022, and will include an opening event, tentatively scheduled for the evening of Thursday, January 27th. We plan for the first hour of that event to be specifically for People of the Global Majority. We are in conversation with Rachel about having the exhibits at River Arts and The Current feature work from all parts of the larger project in order to celebrate everyone's amazing contributions. The opening event will feature a gallery talk and Q+A - keep an eye out for an email in the future about whether or not you might like to be a part of the talk and Q+A.

The Current exhibit is tentatively set for June. More details to come but we hope to see you all at River Arts in January!
