Community Tapestry Project

“It was with great pleasure that I hosted a workshop for our Community Tapestry Project.

No expectations, just doing whatever you wanted on a square of cotton, canvas, hessian - playing with fabrics and paint, and all with infinite possibilities.  An “anything goes” kind of project!

When we make, our work is always an individual reflection. This workshop showed me just how different we really are . How individual our creativity is, and how diverse.  How we each think about, and interpret ideas in so many unique ways.

Flowers and borders in gorgeous plums and blues, embroidery on hessian – a cat in front of a wood-stove – a wild and crazy statement of hearts and glitter, and the meaning of being apart, yet together.

I thank you all for being involved in this special community project.
