Kinder Arts – End of Year Retrospective is a celebration of work, including group murals, mobiles, paintings and sketchbook drawings, produced by young artists participating in the River Arts Kinder Arts Program during the 2013-2014 school year.
The River Arts’ Kinder Arts Program is an outreach and drop-in arts education program which brings innovative exploratory arts to preschoolers in Lamoille County. Children explore art-making through mixed media, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and music and movement. With a focus on experimentation and process, Kinder Arts provides young artists with a unique opportunity to use artistic media creatively and build on tactile experiences.
Participating preschools for the 2013-2014 school year include the Lamoille South Early Education Program, Puffer Childcare Center, Wee Explorers, Appletree Learning Center and a drop-in program at the River Arts Center.Kinder Arts is led by instructor Kelly Holt, a Vermont artist who has experience teaching children’s art programs, and summer camps throughout the Northeast. The Copley Common Space Gallery is located on the main floor at the River Arts Center.
