“River Arts has been instrumental in my success as a photographer. From my very first exhibit the staff has provided excellent guidance along with continual encouragement and support. River Arts is truly a community asset.” – Artist/Instructor/Participant
The River Arts Center is home to two gallery spaces:
The Common Space Gallery, located on the main floor of the River Arts Center, and The Gallery at River Arts, located in the Robert C. Folley Performance Hall on the second floor, are juried exhibition spaces featuring emerging local artists and established regional and international artists.
River Arts also curates a satellite gallery space at the Morrisville Post Office, bringing visual art into the everyday fabric of our community.

CALL TO SCULPTORS:
River Arts invites sculptors to submit images of sculptures that could be installed for 6-12 months in front of the River Arts Center. A sculpture should be sized appropriately for the space, safe for installation in a public location, and safe in Vermont winter. It must be bolted onto the 32″ x 48″ pad near the front entrance. Our goal is to develop a database of sculptors who would like to participate in this program, to be invited as the space opens up. The next available installation will be in late April.
Please submit one or more high-resolution jpeg images, along with a one-page resume/bio and artist statement to [email protected]
Deadline: April 1 to be considered for the next installation in late April. Submissions to: [email protected]
CALL TO PHOTOGRAPHERS:
River Arts invites photographers to submit images for “Morrisville – Favorite Places,” a two-month exhibition opening on September 2, 2018. The project vision is a two-part celebration of Morrisville. Part one of the project will be to exhibit a collection of images of “Favorite Places,” exemplifying the spirit of Morrisville inspired by sense of place. For Part Two, images from this exhibit will be selected, enlarged, and divided into a grid. These grids will be distributed to artists, who’s mosaic of completed paintings will recreate the whole in 2019.
Images of scenes in the village, both natural and urban, should show strong compositional elements and technical ability. Whether street scenes, backyards, public events, aerials or quiet areas in the village or along the Lamoille River, submissions should capture strong sense of place. Photographers may submit numerous images and compositions on the same subject. Images from this exhibit may be selected for inclusion in Part Two of this creative project in 2019. Submissions should include one or more high resolution images in tiff or jpeg format, along with resume or bio and artist statement.
Deadline: July 20, 2018
Submissions to: [email protected]
