New Exhibits at River Arts

As we celebrated earth day last week, River Arts was putting the last nails in the wall to finish hanging our two latest exhibitions. These exhibitions are curated around the idea of environmental art and are on display until July 9th.

I Give You Mountains and Rivers Without End showcases the work of painter Dan Gottsegen. Gottsegen has been working on a public art installation that is to be installed along the Lamoille County Rail Trail along the Hyde Park section. Gottsegen does a beautiful job of approaching landscape painting from a different perspective.

Art in a Time of Crisis is a group environmental art exhibition featuring the work of local artists, Rebecca Schwarz, Caroline Loftus, Kate Arslambakova, and Martha Dunbar. In response to the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference, we were inspired to take a closer look at how climate change is affecting Vermont artists. This show presents a lens to view some of the problems we face and provides some solutions for a more hopeful view of the future.

Mark your calendars for our upcoming artist reception and gallery talk for these two exhibits: May 12th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
