Jo Marsan (they/them) launched The Campy Bird Print Studio, a screenprint artist studio, in September of 2022. Jo draws, designs, and screenprints their original art inspired by nature, gardening, typography, tarot, and cryptids. They received a BFA in printmaking from Ohio University before moving to Johnson with their wife, Loran, who participates in and inspires many of Jo’s artistic projects. Jo also has experience in graphic design and mural arts, and takes commissions in these areas. Their life’s dream was to start a screenprint studio and they were able to begin realizing that dream once in Vermont. They print their serigraph art on 100% cotton archival paper, cardstock, tote bags, thrifted and new shirts, drawstring bags, bandanas, and upcycled materials. Jo’s medium of choice is environmentally-friendly water-based ink and they are invested in making their art as sustainably as possible.
