Explore watercolors with visual artist, Gabriel Tempesta. Drop in Saturdays offer an opportunity to refine your watercolor skill set or learn new techniques if you’re a beginner. Bring a work in progress from home, your own reference material or just show up and see what happens!

Gabriel Tempesta grew up in Wolcott, VT and graduated from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA with a BFA in Illustration in 2002. After moving back to Vermont in 2005, he has worked commercially in illustration as well as in the fine arts. Tempesta’s current residence is Craftsbury, VT which he shares with life partner, Margaret Pitkin, their two dogs, and one cat.

For those of you who use writing classes as a way to set aside special time for your writing practice: Here is an irresistible gift … a clinic to keep your pen and mind in motion. The first hour of the clinic will be devoted to generative poetry writing exercises; the second hour will be devoted to respectful critiques of work you bring to or make in class.

A Drop in gymnastics class for children with their parents/caregivers. Let your kids tumble, jump and be active while you connect with other young families!
As it gets colder outside, and harder to stay outdoors for long, come inside to play at River Arts – Open Gym happens in any weather!
Kids aged 0-5 years are provided with a structured opening activity, healthy snack, closing activity and unstructured time on play equipment.

Pilates is a core workout of the abs, waist and lower back, done on the mat or standing. It lengthens and strengthens the body.
