Anusara® Yoga 101 with Margaret Pitkin –

The New Year is well under way, is your yoga routine? This will be a continuation of our “Intro to Anusara Yoga” series. In this class we will continue our exploration of the fundamentals of a fun, safe, and effective yoga practice. Never done yoga before? Perfect, this is the class for you! Been practicing yoga for years? Excellent, come enjoy some delicious mat time and a yoga refresher course! ”Intro to Anusara Yoga” is not a pre-requisite for this course, newcomers are welcome!
Topics covered: Releasing tension and stress, enhancing vitality; enjoying life to its fullest; creating strong, flexible muscles; preventative and and therapeutic techniques for healing back pain, shoulder issues, wrist injuries, tight and painful hips, knee and foot problems; and MUCH more!!
Bio:
Margaret has been a dedicated student of Anusara Yoga for over ten years, a yoga teacher for over six years, and Vermont’s first Certified Anusara Yoga teacher since January 1st, 2011. She has spent over 1000 hours studying yoga under the guidance of John Friend (founder of Anusara), Deborah Neubauer, Todd Norian, and world-renowned scholars of the Hindu Tantra Douglas Brooks and Paul Muller-Ortega. Margaret is a national Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher.
In each of her classes Margaret’s intense love of life, sharp wit, and precise understanding of Anusara’s elegantly simple principles of biomechanical alignment blend together to create an experience that is uplifting, transformational, and healing, whether it’s your thousandth time on a yoga mat or your first!
