It’s called the “Crooked Road.” The Road that winds through the highest mountains in southwest Virginia. It’s the birthplace of Country Music. The home of the original Carter Family, of Ralph Stanley and many more. An area rich in musical tradition. Saturday, evening, May first at 7PM at Johnson State College’s Dibden Center for the Arts, River Arts, WLVB, CCS Constructors, Chittenden Bank, and Susan Martin Realtors present the best of today’s generation of traditional musicians, young Martha Spencer and Jackson Cunningham – the Whitetop Mountaineers.
The Whiteop Mountainer’s beautiful high duet singing is not to be missed. They’ve toured internationally and are just back from their second trip to Australia. A family show at Dibden – the roots of Country.
