The Piatigorsky Foundation and River Arts welcome Igor Begelman, a renown clarinetist, to the Puffer Methodist Church on Sunday, October 25 at 4 pm.
Admission is by donation - $5 to $10 suggested.
Igor Begelman received the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2000. It is a prize awarded to outstanding American artists. Mr. Begelman has played with symphonies around globe. Along with being a talented musician, he is also a dedicated teacher working at Brooklyn and Swarthmore colleges as well as occasionally teaching courses at other widely respected music schools. This is his fifth season playing with the Piatigorsky Foundation.
The Piatigorsky Foundation is named after the Russian cellist, Gregor Piatigorsky, who believed that music is a necessity of life for everyone. River Arts is pleased to work with the foundation whose mission fits in with our belief in Art for Everyone. Because of our joint mission we have made this concert by donation only so that everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, can come and enjoy this amazing concert. We strongly encourage children and families to attend.
