As a native New Orleanian and Cajun musician of 25+ years, now resident of southern NH, I can say with some authority that the Savoy Family Band is one of the pre-eminent Cajun bands that can be heard anywhere today. This is the First Family of Cajun music today! And, you're not going to get many chances to hear them either, because they don't get to play together too often. You people of Northern VT are really in for a treat! I'm sorry I'm not able to come, because it would be more than worth the two hour drive it would take me to be there. I'd encourage everone of all ages to catch this show, especially all you French people up there, of whom I know there are more than a few! And when the Savoy Family Band is done, be sure to go catch Yankee Chank at the Bee's Knees. Yankee Chank is VT-bred Cajun band that really knows how to play Cajun music with true soul.
