Saturday December 6th Downtown Morrisville

9:00 AM – Santa Comes to Town

Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Public Skating Rink (next to the Centennial Library) and join them on a walk through town to the Bijou Theater.

10:00 AM-12:00 PM – FREE Family Holiday Movie at the Bijou Theater

All children and families are welcome. Admission is first-come, first-served. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Lamoille County Food Share.

11:00 AM-3:00 PM – Holiday Farmers Artisan Market note the time!

Held at River Arts, the Farmers Artisan Market will highlight Christmas baskets of goodies and hot food. Don’t forget to order your meat for the holidays!

9:00 AM-3:00 PM Bishop Marshall School Christmas Fair

9:00 AM-1:00 PM Christmas Trees and Wreaths for Sale

Christmas trees and wreaths for sale at the Senior Center.

12:00 PM-3:00 PM Cookie decorating at the Plaza Hotel

Cookie decorating for children of all ages - with all kinds of decorating sprinkles, icing etc.

12:00 PM-3:00 PM Glass Jewelry Demo

Dichoric Glass Jewelry Demo by Sean and Amy Evans of Evans Glassworks, Hyde Park. Demo will take place at Haymaker Card & Gift Gallery.

1:30 PM-2:45 PM The Social Band

Holiday and spiritual music from a chorus of 22 voices. Performed at Puffer Methodist Church.

1:00 PM-2:00 PM – Winter Nature Scavenger Hunt

Learn who lives at the Oxbow. Nature Scavenger Hunt provided by Carrie Riker of the Lamoille County Nature Center.

2:00 PM Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

Contest viewing and judging takes place at Thompson’s Flour Shop. To enter the contest, please drop off your gingerbread creation at Thompson’s by December 6 at noon.

3:00 PM-4:30 PM Chocolate-making demonstration

Fabulous chocolate-making demonstration (and sampling!) by Laughing Moon Chocolates. To be held at River Arts.

3:00 PM-6:00 PM Christmas House Tour

Four local homes and the Noyes House Museum will be decorated for Christmas. Tickets are available for $15.00 at Thompson’s Bakery, Haymaker Card & Gift Gallery, The Village Victorian Bed & Breakfast or Arthur’s Department Store. Proceeds will benefit River Arts.

Also, plan to take part in the Holiday Lighting Contest! During the month of December, area businesses, homes and neighborhoods are invited to deck their houses for the season. Awards will be given for best decorating in two categories: commercial and residential. Please call 888-5147 and leave your name, address and phone number to be included in the judging. Judging will take place on Saturday, December 6 and the winners will be announced on WLVB.
