What’s going on…

Yesterday we collaborated with Lamoille County Court Diversions to put on a poetry workshop (there will be two more) in Johnson at the free Johnson Community Meal. Julia Shipley had 6 great folks working for an hour at lunch. From Morrisville, Cambridge, Johnson and other places. There are two more sessions on the next two Wednesdays. This weekend at River Arts Karen Winslow is conducting an intro to still life workshop - 5 folks are confirmed, but there is still room. Pastels or Oils will be used. It’s from 9 till 4, Saturday and Sunday - and costs $175.
Plans are afoot for a collaboration with MACC for the festival of lights. A performance by the 22 person Social Band at the River Arts Center on December 6 (Saturday) in the early afternoon, followed by a chocolate cooking workshop let by Leigh of Laughing Moon. There may be a cookie decorating activity as well - but that may be at the Senior Center. The Farmers Market may be on siteas well, selling turkeys and holiday baskets.
Our final performance for our fall classes is December 12 - Friday evening from 6 till 7:30 - parents are bringing refreshments and the SD Ireland lit concrete truck will be parked in front of River Arts from 5PM to 6PM.
