Head Start Arts Learn about the Eden Watershed

Jen McKenzie visited the Head Start site at Eden Central to help youngsters replicate the watershed in their own backyards!  Complete with tadpoles, frogs, bears and birds the kids had a wonderful time relating their own experiences with nature in their clay table top representation.  Thanks to the Vermont Arts Council and Central Vermont Community Action Council for making these programs possible!

Elder Arts Classes visit Burlington Art Galleries!

Dominique Gustin, River Arts' Elder Arts Coordinator, took her classes on a field trip to Burlington April 7 & 8.  Their first stop was at the Bailey Howe Library to see the UVM Artist Book collection, a project they have been working on in their classes.  They were also able to visit exhibitions at the Fletcher Free Library, the Firehouse Gallery, the Art's Alive Gallery and the Fleming Museum.  Overall a very successful trip!  They have now started to make paper mache boxes to keep their own Artist Books in and will begin a painting workshop in May.  For more information on Elder Arts classes call us: 888-1261.
